So I have no problem letting him out. I just hold the cage door open and he comes on out and sits on my head. But when I need to put him back in the cage, he doesn’t listen. How do I train him to go back in when I need him too?
Thank you.
I’ve tried to grab him, but I’m always scared too. What if I break him?

Hold him in your hand and put him in.
close the blinds to make him sleepy, when he is, grab him and shove him back into the cage. Be careful of the beak. Just hold him tight enough so he cant fly away… Maybe you should clip his wings, too, so he is easier to handle.
my parakeet would just go back in on his own when’s he was ready I guess. I just left the cage open, but sometimes when I wanted to him to go back in right away, I would bring the cage to him and he would just jump back in.
